WHO WE ARE
Prince of Peace is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Regardless of age, race, or status in life, members of the ELCA welcome you to join this community of faith. If you’re unfamiliar with our church, some of what you learn may surprise you.
The ELCA is an engaged, active body of people who put faith in God into action — in millions of ways, all over the world.

A WELCOMING CONGREGATION
In 1997, our congregation adopted the following statement of welcome:
“That persons of all races, ages, physical, mental, and emotional status or capacity, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, economic condition, national and ethnic origins, share with all others the world which comes from being unique individuals created by God in need of forgiveness.
“That all persons named and unnamed above are welcome within the membership of the congregation upon making the same affirmation of faith that all others make; and, that as members of this congregation all are expected and encouraged to share in the sacramental and general life of this congregation.”
