First Time Visitor? It can be a bit intimidating walking into a new church. And yet, all of our members and frequent visitors at one point made that step - so we all understand! On this page, we hope to answer some of the logistical questions about our facilities and worship services that you might have before you come visit us. And if you have a question that's not answered here, please ask one of the greeters as you enter the church, or contact us at 847.885.7010 or email church@princeofpeace.net. Which door should I use? Our building has two primary entrances - one on the east side and the other on the north side. Either door can be used to enter the church for worship services. Here's what you'll find closest to each of the entrances: North entrance:

I have a young child. Where can he/she go during services? Children are always welcome to join us during worship. Ask an usher for children's bulletins and activity boxes that contain crayons and coloring pages. For those who prefer, we offer child care by experienced staff during our regular Sunday services. The nursery is found downstairs just off of the Great Room. Ask a greeter or usher and they will guide you. If your child is age 4 or older, they are welcome to join our Sunday School during the school year. Sunday School is offered during the 9:45 service. See our Youth Ministries page for more information. How can I meet church members? Pastor Hellstedt announces the "Guest Coordinator" at the beginning of each service. The Guest Coordinator will be standing by the Pastor at the end of the service readily to answer your questions. You are invited to join us for light refreshments between services in the Fellowship Hall near the main sanctuary. How do I join? Usually, our members attend worship at Prince of Peace on a regular basis before taking the step of church membership. Prince of Peace offers opportunities to join the congregation several times a year after attending a one-time orientation session. Dates and times for the new member orientation are announced well in advance. Adults who have not yet been baptized may seek baptism by contacting the Pastor through the church office. |
