Faith and church? Sure. They go together like soup and sandwich. Faith and work? This gets a little more complicated. How can we bring our faith into daily life in a way that respects the faith of others and avoids a religious hard sell? Anxious to avoid these pitfalls, Lutherans and others often keep their faith tucked out of sight in the workday environment. But maybe there are ways to be disciples of Jesus in daily life that avoid offending others. Maybe there are plenty of opportunities to use that faith--or even share it--that would bless others while avoiding the pitfalls. As we talk about faith and work this week, we'll be inspired by a clip from Peter Jackson's "Lord of the Rings" trilogy, specifically THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE RING (Elijah Wood, Sean Aston, 2001).
